Kansas squeaked by Davidson to become the fourth of the four number one seeds to make the Final Four this year. Oddly enough, this is the first time that the four number one seeds have made the Final Four.
I will make NO SECRET of who I want to win the whole thing. Kansas Jayhawks. That said, let me be clear as to who I want to win the other game.
Memphis plays fucla. Who do you think I want? Even if you are new to this blog, I think you can figure this out.
Some may think I would be against Memphis due to the non-conference rivalry with my alma mater. Nah. That is a minor rivalry that is mainly based on their refusal to play us in hoops unless we played them in football. OK, it may be deeper than that but I simply don't care.
The bottomline here is quite simple. I want the Tigers to beat the cruddy little bruins. PERIOD.
Now, the other side of the bracket may seem like a obvious one. My brother Dan is a Kansas alum. So, of course I want Kansas to win whenever they play, unless it is against Tennessee. (Which happens in Lawrence on 20 December 2008.) But my absolute disdain for North Carolina and Coach Huckleberry Hound. I think I have explained that in much detail in previous postings.
So, I close this part by simply saying. Rock, Chalk, Jayhawk. K U !!!!!!!
Oh, and by the way, unlike Jet Roberts (my sports guy), I really don't like the idea of the favorites all being there. The storyline is a bit of a yawner.
Just my opinion.
