4 March 2008 - Counterproductive terrorists...and more
Well, if you saw the story out of Washington State yesterday, you probably know where I am heading with this. Earth Liberation Front is at it again.
Let me be clear on this. E.L.F. is a terrorist group. And E.L.F. is a stupid terrorist group. I know that is redundant, but really this group is a bunch of idiots. And directly counterproductive in their actions.
A few years ago, ELF was responsible for destroying a bunch of HUMMER SUV's in the San Diego area. The amount of polution produced by the FIRES ALONE put more carbon and other pollutants in the air that all of those SUV's combined would have if they had been each driven over 700,000 miles. PLUS, the SUV's had to be disposed of or recycled.
This time, these houses in Washington State were all built using "green" technologies and techniques. It will require more trees to be cut down in order to rebuild these houses.
Now all terrorist groups are stupid, period. But ELF takes it to the next level.
These guys make PETA look intelligent.

OK, time for Vegas stories.
For those who have been there, The Bellagio is one of the most beautiful hotels you will ever see. Rooms there start at about $300 a night. Most table games in the casino start at $10 per game. The shops there are all of the hoitiest-toitiest you can imagine.
So yes, I was a little surprised to see a man in a chicken suit walking through the casino. If you have seen Toy Story 2, this guy was wearing the same suit that Al from Al's Toy Barn wore in his TV ad.
And the other one shouldn't have surprised me, but let me offer up this description. We saw a man with wardrobe by Larry the Cable Guy, more tattoos than Dennis Rodman, dental work straight out of England....and he was carrying a styrofoam cooler.
Now let me remind you that it was a NASCAR weekend in Las Vegas last weekend. I know and have known a lot of NASCAR fans. This guy was simply a stereotype.
Again, I ask people this. DO NOT FEED STEREOTYPES!!
Comments
NASCAR stereotypes are my fault.
