OK, let me by opening with an explanation about Friday. I noted a problem on Thursday evening when I went to do some basic maintenance on this blog page. I was only able access some functions on this page and locked out of others.
Yahoo! was doing some updating to the Movable Type program (which is what I use to publish this page). It was back working by Friday afternoon, but by then...well....it was too late to post anything regarding the show. Since that is the purpose, I decided to simply offer an explanation at my next post.
Done.

Belated Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there. The Kerstings spent a family day together. Drove up to Kansas City to go to the Royals game. Weather was beautiful. By the time we got parked at Kauffman Stadium, there was not a cloud in the sky. Of course, that is only part of the story. The wind was INCREDIBLE!! 20 MPH or better for the entire afternoon. And since we had pretty good seats, we were out of the sun. So, we froze a little bit.
Alex and Ben got a couple of autographs (Yabuta and Buck) before the game. A foul ball was hit just a couple of seats away from Kathy (Jose Guillen, who was the DH yesterday...batting .198 at the time...explain that to me). The Royals won the game. And then we ran the bases after the game.
Then we grabbed dinner at Gates BBQ before driving back to Jefferson City.
The loudest cheers during the game from our crew? The Momma!

Speaking of baseball, I did notice that several thousand fans were consuming, and spilling, beer at $7 a piece. That is two gallons of gas.
I do NOT want to hear these people bitch about gas prices. This is a priorities issue.
And no, I did not have any beer.

As for news on this Monday morning, West Virginia has their primary tomorrow. Yawn.
Dennis Farina, formerly of "Law & Order" and the Chicago Police Department, was arrested for having a .22 in his carry-on at LAX.
Sergio Garcia thanks Tiger Woods for not playing this weekend.

Have a Great Week!!
