8 May 2008 - Happy Birthday, Don Rickles!! and other thoughts on the day

First off, let me open by noting the Eighty-Second birthday of Donald Jay Rickles.

Don Rickles is one of my favorite actor/comedians.  I credit my dad for introducing me to his works.  I hope that I will have the opportunity to see him in person before he passes, but that seems unlikely.

Anyhow, Happy Birthday to Mr. Rickles!!

------------------

Hillary Clinton does NOT want to go on to the cart.  She's not dead yet.

I have said it before, I think she should stay in the race.  I do not see the real harm IF she and Barack Obama stick to issues.  I based this on the daily tracking poll at RasmussenReports.com showing that she has a better shot against John McCain than Barack Obama does.

If she proves stronger against McCain than he does, he could learn some things.

Only seems fair to me.  McCain has been learning a lot about BOTH of them since he locked up the nomination.

------------------

John McCain will be on with Bill O'Reilly tonight.  I am curious to see how this interview goes.  O'Reilly will be tough but fair, much like he was with Hillary Clinton.  One thing brought up last night is this...why is John McCain so resistant to talking about himself?  He has written about himself, but tends to avoid it in interviews and on the stump.

This is one of his strong suits I think.  Why avoid it?

-------------------

By the way, speaking of John McCain, some nutjobs at that virtual Bedlam known at the Huffington Post that implied that McCain was NOT tortured by the Vietnamese while he spent 5 and a half years as a Prisoner of War.

As most everyone has said, including the McCain campaign...consider the source.  Nothing credible comes from that site.  Insanity.
