Jay Kersting's Blog: 28 August 2008 - Bill or Fred? Which did you choose?

Last night, former President Bill Clinton took the stage in Denver. So, I faced a decision. Do I watch Bill, or do I watch Fred Sanford?

Fred won.

But to be fair, it was the episode where Lamont and Rollo wanted to have a party at the house. Fred wanted to be at the party and to help with it. Lamont didn't like the idea, so they had the party at Rollo's pad. Great stuff.

Sorry, Bill can't compete with that. He could compete with Grady, but not Fred with Lamont AND Rollo.

WWAED? Many let that rule their lives, and I understand.

No truth to the rumor that John McCain will announce his pick for Vice President via that new fangled communications method...The Pony Express.

In fact, he will be no where near St. Joseph, MO.

Some of you think that I have been playing things a bit on the silly side the last couple of days. And you may think that I have been showing a lack of respect for the political process.

You are right. In fact, if you didn't see it, or didn't GET it, I explained my thoughts on these conventions back on Tuesday.

Have you heard ANY details on HOW Barack Obama is going to all that he claims he is going to do?

NO. There are no details.

Guess what? Next week will be as WEAK on details as this week was.

I hope that I am wrong, but I doubt it.

So tonight, when you are watching Barack Obama tell you how he will cross the Potomac by walking across the surface, I will be hoping for a Hogan's Heroes marathon.

WWSD? What would Schultz Do?

I suppose you are correct. Both B and I were the least favorites in our families. The up side is that middle children grow up being able to deal with others better.
