10 September 2008 - Close, close race and Is Kim Jong Il?

Here in Cole County, Missouri, we had the special election to correct the voting problem from the August primary.  Sixty five of the 144 eligible voters cast their ballots.

In the end, Jeff Hoelscher defeated Edith Vogel by SIX votes.  Due to the agreement the two candidates made, there will not be a recount.

Next up, the November elections.

-----------------

Even I didn't see this coming.

Get them before they sell out.  I mean the products.  Not the subject of the products.

-----------------

North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il is dead.  Nope.  Just sick.  No, he's not.  He's just, uh, um, busy drinking his Hennessy.

Remember back in the 1980's when you didn't see Soviet leaders for months and months on end.  But, of course, they were not dead.  Just very, very busy.

Busy achieving room temperature.

So, is Kim Jong Il dead, or just doing his best Fidel Castro impression?

If he dies, who takes over?  Will the possibility of the Korean peninsula being reunited a possibilty?  Will things heat up there along the DMZ?

Wait and watch.....

---------------

Have a great Wednesday.
