“Captain Underpants” succeeded, chemistry failed

I don’t blame the Obama Administration for taking their CURRENT stance on what happened back on Christmas on that flight into Detroit.

I do think that BOTH Janet Napolitano and Hillery Clinton have looked like fools and that Napolitano needs to go the way of “Brownie”….I give Clinton a pass, to a point.

But the MEDIA missed the boat on this whole situation.  And this is what you need to remember.  And I can put some of the blame for the spin on Obama’s people.

“Captain Underpants” boarded a plane in Amsterdam with a bomb on his person.  He was a known, as reported by his own father, jihadist.  “Captain Underpants” was radicalized for a while before he got to the airport.  He also was able to ignite the bomb on the plane before it landed in Detroit.

He was not stopped, he was not prevented, he was not thwarted from exploding a bomb on a commercial jetliner over a major metropolitan area.

The chemistry failed.  PERIOD.

Yes, some attentive passengers restrained him.  But he was a success.

The chemistry failed.  Nothing else failed on HIS side of things.

On our side, plenty failed.  And the blame can be spread far and wide on this.

The solutions that are being proposed to address this problem are as likely to succeed as the Senate bill to reform healthcare is to actually cut the costs of healthcare.  NOT going to happen.

Body scanners are fine, but if your human assets are inept it will not work.

The former head of security for El Al, the Israeli airline, knows the solution.  We should listen to him.

We need human assets.  We need professional, educated, empowered and well-paid human assets working and running the Transportation Security Administration.

Bad information, based on a lack of good human assets led to no one being able to step up and prevent the 11 September 2001 attacks.

Remember?

And therein lies the problem.
